Branding cost in Malaysia: what you actually pay for
Branding cost in Malaysia varies widely because agencies mean very different things by “branding”. Here is what you are actually paying for, so you can compare quotes properly.

What drives branding cost
Strategy: research, competitor review and positioning take time, and they are what make a brand work.
Design: the number of logo concepts, revisions and supporting elements such as colours, type and icons.
Guidelines: a usable brand book so staff, printers and partners apply the brand consistently.
Rollout: applying the brand to your website, quotation and invoice templates, company profile, signage and social media.
Branding cost: one-off project or monthly plan?
A one-off project ends with files. A monthly plan includes ongoing application of the brand across marketing, which is where most inconsistency creeps in.
Red flags when comparing branding quotes
A price for “branding” that only includes a logo.
No discovery or positioning step before design starts.
No brand guidelines, or guidelines that only show the logo.
Final files you do not own, or that come without vector versions.
Don’t forget trademark registration
Before you print signage or cards, check that your name and logo can be protected. In Malaysia, trademarks are registered with MyIPO, the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia. Official fees are separate from design fees, so ask whether a branding quote includes a trademark search.
How long branding takes
Most identity projects take four to eight weeks from the first workshop to final guidelines. Naming and full rebrands with rollout usually take eight to twelve weeks.

Common questions
Is a logo enough for a small business?
It is a start. Buyers judge the whole experience, so a consistent website, quotation and social presence usually matter more than the logo itself.
Do I own the final files?
With Convyra, yes. You receive the final logo and identity files for your business.
Can you rebrand an existing company?
Yes. Rebrands start with an audit of what to keep, so you do not lose recognition you have already built.
What does branding cost with Convyra?
Branding is part of our Brand plan at RM2,500 a month: everything in our Grow plan plus logo and brand identity, guidelines and branded templates, with no minimum term.
